Terms & Conditions

 

Please read the terms and conditions carefully. All persons visiting Knebworth House, Gardens & Park are subject to the following terms and conditions and by acquiring one or more tickets (“Ticket” or “Tickets”) you confirm to Knebworth House, Gardens and Park (Lytton Enterprises Ltd ‘LEL’) that you accept these terms and conditions of use. Tickets are NOT refundable. Ticket holders are referred to in these Terms and Conditions as “Visitors”.

 

1. Tickets

 

For pre-purchased tickets, we only issue electronic tickets, via e-mail, using the Digi Tickets system. You will be asked to present a print out of your e-tickets which contain a unique barcode to gain admission. Failure to do so may result in refusal of admission which Knebworth House, Gardens and Park cannot be held responsible.

 

1.1           One ticket purchased entitles one person entry to the attraction on a single occasion as we provide a ticket that is valid for the day/event. All tickets include a £2.50 admin fee per ticket which is not refundable in any circumstance.

1.2        All persons entering the attraction must hold a valid ticket that must be retained at all times and submitted for inspection if required by any member of staff. Failure to produce a valid ticket on request may result in removal from the attraction.

1.3        Where ticket prices vary according to age, the following provisions apply:

1.4       A persons of 16 years or older is classed as an adult;

1.5       A person aged 3 – 15 years is classed as a child for in season admission; and

1.6       For children under 3 years no admission fee will be charged (Please note this may vary for out of season events)

1.7        Where ticket prices vary according to age, it is not permitted for tickets to be transferred from adult to children or vice versa.

1.8       The price of tickets may vary from time to time and the prices advertised are not guaranteed.

1.9       Once acquired, tickets are non-refundable, non transferable and void if altered and tickets that Knebworth House, Gardens and Park reasonably suspects have been transferred or altered will not be honoured. If lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets will not be replaced.

1.10      Knebworth House, Gardens and Park (LEL) will not refund tickets based on customers reconsidering their purchase.

1.11      Events will go ahead in all weathers and unless an event is cancelled by Knebworth House, Gardens and Park refunds will not be offered. In the event of a cancellation, customers will first be offered to transfer tickets to another day. If a refund is given, a £2.50 per ticket admin fee will be subtracted from the refund amount

1.12      Tickets may include entry to most, but not all, areas of the Attraction. Visitors may be able to purchase additional tickets to obtain access to all areas of the attraction.

1.13      From time to time, Knebworth House, Gardens and Park (LEL) may issue tickets under special promotions (“Promotional Tickets”) but promotional tickets will be available subject to availability and subject to any terms and conditions affecting the particular promotion.

1.14      LEL reserves the right to make any changes to facilities offered, and to close the grounds and House, or any part thereof, without notice.

 

2. For your Safety

 

Visitors are required to observe the following guidelines while at the attraction:

 

2.1       Observe the 10mph speed limit

2.2       Please park cars in the designated areas

2.3        Adhere to the one way road system

2.4        Children aged 15 and under may not be left unattended within Knebworth Park

2.5        Strictly no campfires

2.6        Dogs must be kept on leads at all times and are permitted in the Park only. (Guide dogs and hearing dogs are allowed in the House and Gardens)

2.7        Do not approach the animals in the park, especially the deer.

2.8        Equipment (including slides) height and age restrictions must be adhered to

2.9        The management do not accept liability for any loss or damage to visitors’ property howsoever caused.

3.0       The use of drones in the park and gardens is not permitted

 

3. Your Responsibilities


3.1        It is your responsibility to ensure that you purchase tickets for the correct date on which you wish to attend.
3.2       Please check your tickets carefully, as well as any receipt or booking confirmation received from us after        completion of your purchase. It is your responsibility to ensure the entire ticket is clearly printed and the

barcode and barcode number are clearly visible.

3.3       Before you purchase your tickets, it is your responsibility to check whether there are any special restrictions on entry (for example, but without limitation, age restrictions or height restrictions).

3.4       It is your responsibility to check the opening dates and opening hours.

3.5       It is your responsibility to ensure that your tickets are not lost, stolen or damaged. Knebworth House (LEL) will not be liable to provide a refund if you are unable to attend the attraction or event due to loss or theft of, or damage to, or an inability to print your tickets.
 

4. Transfer And Resale Of Tickets

 

4.1       No ticket purchased from this website shall be resold to a third party under any circumstances, and any such resale shall have the effect of rendering that ticket void and unusable as a means of entry to the attraction or event for which it was purchased.

4.2       No ticket purchased from this website shall be used for advertising, promotions, contests, competitions or sweepstakes, unless permission has been obtained in advance from Knebworth House (LEL)

4.3        No ticket purchased from this website shall be transferred to or used by a third party unless permission is obtained from Knebworth House (LEL)

4.4        Tickets purchased from this website are only for the personal use of you and your party. We reserve the right to cancel tickets purchased if there is any resale or attempted resale of tickets at a higher price than purchased. This includes tickets being traded at an inflated price including through auction sites such as EBAY. The holder of a resold ticket may be refused entry or rejected from the attraction or event.

 

5. Limitations On Liability

 

5.1       Knebworth House (LEL) shall not be liable for any loss of or damage to property at the attraction or event, nor

shall it be liable for the death of or personal injury to any person attending any attraction or event, save to the extent that such death or personal injury is caused by its own negligence or breach of statutory duty.

5.2       Knebworth House (LEL) shall not under any circumstances be liable for any unforeseeable loss damage or injury, nor shall it be liable in any way or for any indirect or consequential loss whatsoever.

5.3        The liability of Knebworth House (LEL) for any breach of these terms and conditions or for any breach of statutory duty shall be limited in any event to the face value of the ticket you have purchased.
 

6. Miscellaneous


6.1       These terms and conditions represent the entire understanding and agreement between us and you

acknowledge that you have not been induced to purchase any tickets by any representations made by Knebworth House (LEL) but nothing in these terms and conditions shall be deemed to exclude liability for fraudulent misrepresentation.

6.2        If any Court shall find any provision of these terms and conditions to be void or unenforceable then that provision shall be rendered ineffective to the extent of the Court’s finding but this shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions of these terms and conditions.

6.3        These terms and conditions are governed by English law and any dispute between the parties shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

6.4        None of these terms and conditions shall be enforceable under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 by a third party (with the exception of the attraction owner or event organiser, who may enforce them), but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from under that Act.
 

7. Buy One Get One Free Voucher

 

7.1       This offer entitles the purchaser to one free pre-booked Park & Gardens single ticket when they purchase a full price Park & Gardens single ticket online.

7.2       This offer is valid Monday – Friday, from Wednesday 10th August until Friday 2nd September 2022. Voucher excludes Monday 29th August 2022.

7.3       This offer is not valid for use in conjunction with any other promotion. Only one voucher can be used per person, per transaction. The number of vouchers is limited and will work on a first come first served basis. Only one free ticket per order. Voucher can only be used as stipulated. The voucher is non-transferable/not for resale. Any purported transfer or sale of the voucher will render it void. The voucher and code have no cash value. Photocopies will not be accepted. Voucher cannot be used in-conjunction with any other offer or concession (e.g. family tickets), reward/loyalty program, season tickets, events or for group bookings.

7.4       Lytton Enterprises Limited reserves the right to cancel or amend the promotion or these voucher terms and conditions, at any stage, but will always endeavour to minimise the effect to participants in order to avoid undue disappointment.
