On the 19th August there will be a unique opportunity to tour Knebworth House at night and hear the tales of the incidents we cannot explain. Visit areas where our resident presences have been detected.
Gates open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start. The evening will include a house tour featuring ghost stories; volunteers from The Herts and Middlesex Bat Group will give a talk and will bring in specialist equipment to detect the bats’ high-pitched screech, which helps guests to locate them; and refreshments will be served at Knebworth Barns.
A proportion of the ticket sales will be donated to The Herts and Middlesex Bat Group.
The event ending time will be approximately 10:00 pm but will vary.
Pre-booking is essential. Warm clothing and suitable footwear is recommended.

Whilst enjoying a visit to Knebworth House, Gardens and Park over the August Bank Holiday on Sunday 24th and Monday 25th August, you can attend the Classic Motor Show at no additional charge.
The Classic Motor Show is not to be missed - there will be a static display as well as a show arena hosting parades. Vehicles include saloons, sports, American, commercial, military and classic motorcycles. There will also be children’s entertainment, live music, hot food, and shopping stalls.
Tickets will include access to Knebworth Gardens, Park, Adventure Playground, Fort Knebworth and Dinosaur Trail. Tickets including access to the House can also be purchased.
Please be aware that the last admission for this event is 2pm. With the Car Show finishing at 4pm.

Under 3’s are welcome free of charge.
This event is free for Season Ticket Holders to attend.

Food and drink will be available throughout the evening, including hot and cold beverages, cakes, ice cream, and a selection of items from our Garden Terrace Tea Room menu.
Guests are encouraged to bring their own picnic, along with blankets and chairs, to enjoy the performance in comfort.

Get your broomsticks, hats and magic wands at the ready and venture into Knebworth Gardens this Autumn for a Halloween Adventure filled with family fun!

This Halloween event will have visitors taking part in a number of fun Halloween activities throughout the Gardens.
Halloween Games
Completing exciting Halloween games such as ‘Hungry Ghosts, ‘Hook a Pumpkin’, 'Pumpkin Putting' and ‘What’s in the Box’ in Knebworth Gardens will earn visitors stamps on their Pumpkin Passport. Once full the Pumpkin Passport can been redeemed for a prize. The popular Terror Tunnel will also be back.
The Garden Terrace Tea Room
The Garden Terrace Tea Room will be open and offering some fantastic Halloween sweet treats as well as a delicious selection of fresh Autumnal soups and sandwiches. You can pre-book a Children’s Halloween Lunch Box and collect from the Tea Room during your visit this will include a Sandwich, Halloween Biscuit, Drink, Fruit and Pom Bears. Priced at £6.25 online and £6.75 on the day.
Halloween Carving Competition
Bring your pre-carved Pumpkins with you, place them in our 'Pumpkin Parking' area on arrival. Judging will take place half an hour before the end of each session. Be sure to take your Pumpkins home.
As always, fancy dress for all ages is encouraged at this event.

Join us on the 19th or 20th December in the Banqueting Hall of Knebworth House as 'The Living Theatre' presents a reading of Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’.
This is a unique opportunity to experience one of Charles Dickens' most celebrated works in the Banqueting Hall of Knebworth House - a room Charles Dickens once performed in.
Grab yourself a mulled wine and settle into your seat for the Living Theatre’s reading of A Christmas Carol - but don’t get too comfortable, expect characters to leap from the page and Dickens to dance before your eyes as our two actors contend to tell our favourite Christmas story. Seamlessly moving from your trusted narrator to the most fiendish of Dickens creations.
Book in hand, the actors will take you through the laughter, the lows and straight to the heart of Dickens most famous tale. This reading is created for all the family, relishing the words for the most faithful Dickens’ fan to captivating the imaginations of our youngest audiences.
